EDUCAUSE Involvement OpportunitiesMay 15, 2008 is the deadline for Advisory Committee and the Annual Conference Program Committee applications. Other applications will be accepted at any time of year. There are many ways that you can work with your peers in EDUCAUSE to get involved in association activities, expand your professional experience, and contribute to information technology in higher education. What opportunities are available?Formal opportunitiesAdvisory Committee member Serve a three-year term on one of the EDUCAUSE Advisory Committees. Advisory Committees contribute to special activities and guide association directions in various areas of professional practice and policy. Appointments are made in early summer, following a spring call for volunteers. Program Committee member Serve a one-year term on one of the EDUCAUSE Program Committees. Program Committees develop themes, organization, and content for specific conferences. Appointments are made throughout the year.
Informal opportunitiesEngage throughout the year on a project-by-project basis in various activities, such as assisting in developing content, writing, participating in topical task forces, convening conference sessions, and blogging.
