Mobile Web Frameworks (MWF)

ACTI-MSAD
In March 2013, members of the former ACTI Mobile Web Frameworks (ACTI-MWF) Working Group, having recently completed their white paper on the same topic, decided to review the group mission to see if more work in the area of mobility existed and could be addressed by ACTI. As a result of that review, the new ACTI Mobile Strategy and Application Development (ACTI-MSAD) Working Group was formed to take the place of ACTI-MWF.
Mission
Participants in the ACTI Mobile Strategy and Application Development (ACTI-MSAD) Working Group pool their collective resources, time, and energy towards investigating specific challenges and opportunities, sharing individual solutions, and developing effective practices in mobile web and applications for the higher-education community. The mission of ACTI-MSAD is to develop and promote collaborative mobile strategies across higher education institutions by:
- Identifying and sharing strategies to meet the device-agnostic requirements of higher education
- Finding techniques to leverage mobile devices to support the needs of faculty, staff, students, and researchers
- Exploring methods to effectively share mobile tool development and deployment best practices for teaching and learning, research, and productivity
In carrying out its mission, the group will undertake projects that focus on specific areas in the mobile space, including such areas as:
- Mobile data collection and other related areas
- Responsive Web Design
- Mobile user experience and accessibility
- Mobile development frameworks
The working group welcomes input, ideas, and project participation from the higher education community. [add e-mail]
