The University of San Francisco is implementing an online backup service for staff and faculty PCs as well as departmental field servers. This session will present our decision to move from a build-it-yourself infrastructure to a software-as-a-service model. The results are significant cost savings and an improvement in the ability to centrally manage the university's backups.

#E10_SESS118 Hearing from USF about using MozyPro for institutional data backup. Great session! Challenging assumptions about how to tackle.

USF uses MozyPro for desktop backup to the cloud and saved some serious $$$ vs. local solution. #E10_SESS118

#E10_SESS118 Great summary of "the backup imperative". #educause10

#E10_SESS118 I will make this presentation timely regarding current trends re: SaaS and Private/Public cloud resources for remote backups.

#E10_SESS118

I know that this session is VERY early, but I'm looking forward to your attendance, and will attempt to make this presentation as timely regarding current trends, our (USF's) experience, and allow time for questions and discussion regarding file backup and storage services harnessing SaaS and Private/Public cloud resources.
