Virtual Conference
This year's EDUCAUSE Virtual Annual Conference will be held from 7:30 a.m. PT (UTC-7) Wednesday, October 16, to 11:30 a.m. PT (UTC-7) Friday, October 18 (convert to your time zone). Half-day online preconference seminars are offered on Tuesday, October 15.
Conference Components
Virtual Conference Center
Virtual participants can easily locate and access all online events through the virtual conference center. All sessions, whether a webcast or an interactive exclusive online session, will be available to you—in real time or on-demand as your schedule permits. In addition, all registrants will receive a link to all online conference session recordings that they can share with their nonregistered team members and colleagues.
Engage with your fellow attendees from around the world through unique communication opportunities within the networking lounge and compete for prizes in the Game Room.
Webcasts
All 3 general and 60 featured and concurrent sessions will be video streamed live from the conference and available on-demand.
Exclusive Online Sessions
Over 15 live interactive sessions with experts on current topics will be available exclusively for the online audience. They will also be available on-demand.
Preconference Seminars
Exclusive online, half-day preconference seminars will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15. These in-depth, highly interactive sessions will provide attendees with a chance to explore key issues, tools, and subjects. (Please note: A separate registration and fee are required.)
Captioning
Closed captioning will be available for all public on-demand webcasts. In addition, captioning and/or a transcript can be requested for any online session through September 2. After that date, a session transcript can be made available. Please see the registration form to request one or both of these options.
Our goal is to ensure an accessible event. Captioning benefits everyone by providing access to transcripts and searchable content, and attendees for whom English is a second language will particularly benefit from the opportunity to both hear presenter remarks and read the captions in real time.
