EDUCAUSE Publishes Issues Brief Focusing on the Evolving Role of the CIO

This fall, EDUCAUSE interviewed 14 higher education CIOs to understand how new developments in cloud computing, mobile learning, and consumer IT services, among others, are influencing the evolution of the CIO role. From those conversations, EDUCAUSE distilled a series of key themes and issues that highlight the present state and future directions of the profession, and compiled them in The Evolution of the CIO, along with recommendations for how CIOs and EDUCAUSE might strengthen the capacity of the role to serve the best interests of higher education.
