Documentation on the history of virtual learning environments

Created by Stuart Yeates (University of Oxford) on August 14, 2006

There's a project under way at Wikipedia to gather a comprehensive list of source materials relating to the history of virtual learning environments and Internet-mediated teaching.

If you (or your university) have ever done anything, novel, ambitious or innovative in the field of virtual learning environments or Internet-mediated teaching, add a short note and a link to more information. Anecdotes without references or links to primary sources or secondary sources with references are, unfortunately of little help.

The main aim of the project is to accumulate materials for use in fight or overturn patents. For this reason priority is important and everything is listed by date.

Submitted by Henry E. Schaffer (North Carolina State University) on August 14, 2006 - 7:09pm.

Innovations before 1999 are especially important right now.
