Moodle report from BETTCreated by Stuart Yeates (University of Oxford) on January 13, 2006
Yesterday I was at the annual British Educational Technology Tradeshow (BETT) in London, helping staff the Moodle stand organised by the Moodlers at Help Us Get To BETT. The Moodle stand (thanks to the various supporters) was very much in the cheaper area, at the opposite end form the main entrance, in an ally of other small stands. While I can't speak at length about the number of people visiting the show in general, since I spent almost all of my time on the Moodle stand, I can confidently say that the Moodle stand had the most staff and the most visitors of any of the stands in our alley while I was there. The staffers ranged from those running a business around Moodle and teachers using Moodle to techies supporting Moodle and open source'rs like myself. We spoke to literally hundreds of people, ranging from school governors with little background in ICT to long-time Moodle users. Teachers TV were on site and interviewed a number of Moodle people, so hopefully there'll be video available in the fullness of time. Coverage from moodle.org, Gary J Day, Josie Fraser and Chalkface. Learn 4 Life (L4L) produced a Moodle video featuring interviews with prominent UK Moodlers.
