Vote now for the Wikipedia Arbitration CommitteeCreated by Stuart Yeates (University of Oxford) on January 10, 2006
Voting is now open for the Wikipedia Arbitration Committee the group that advises Jimmy Wales on the running of Wikipedia and effectively does much of the day-to-day editorial work and dispute settlement. Suffrage is strictly by participation: [...] any user that registered an account on the English Wikipedia on or before 30 September 2005 and has 150 edits before the start of the election (January 9) may cast a vote for or against each individual candidate. Real-time (unofficial) statistics are available and suggest that most voters are voting for or against just a few candidates they have information on, rather than making a mark of some kind against every name. If you are eligible to vote, I urge you to spend at least a little time looking over the candidates.
