EDUCAUSE Joins Letter Supporting FY2010 Appropriations for HEA Programs

EDUCAUSE recently joined other higher education associations in a May 15 letter asking that Congress continue its support for the federal funding of Higher Education Act (HEA) programs. It was directly aimed at appropriators, who are working on FY2010 legislation. Copies were sent to members on the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittees on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies. Organized by the American Council on Education and signed by 13 other groups, the letter states that HEA programs are "vital to our effort to increase access to higher education for students, revitalize our economy, and strengthen American competitiveness."
