October 29, 2009: Department of Education Issues Final HEOA Regulations

On October 29, the U.S. Department of Education issued the final regulations for the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA). The Department had intially released proposed rules on August 21. Some sections of the HEOA relate to unauthorized file sharing, and these rules provide guidance on how colleges and universities comply with the law.
