This thirty-five minute podcast features a session from the EDUCAUSE 2008 Annual Conference. The presentation, "Teaching and Learning in Second Life," is presented by Geoffrey B. Cain, Instructional Designer / Instructor and John Miller, Nursing Instructor, Consultant, both from Tacoma Community College. This presentation examines teaching techniques in virtual environments, particularly Second Life, from the perspectives of an instructor and instructional designer and demonstrate how a second-year nursing program successfully uses Second Life to teach clinical procedures, critical thinking, and decision making.
