So what is this Podcast thing?

If you're new to the Podcasting world, welcome.  It's pretty new to me, but I've quickly learned how easy it is to set up.  If you've never heard of the terms used to log into this relm, hopefully I can help.

The first step you need to take is to download iPodder (good for PCs or Macs) or iPodderX (great for Macs):

http://www.ipodder.org/directory/4/ipodderSoftware

Once you've downloaded the system, you need to add the NLII RSS to your iPodder application:
(just copy and paste this:)  http://blog.educause.edu/MainPodFeed.aspx

Next, check for feeds.

Then you need to Sync your iPod or MP3 player... And enjoy the podcasts when you want.

It is great to see that this is going on! I firmly believe podcasting will prove to be, in one form or another, a real driving force in educational content delivery. The whole idea of "pushing" content to learners is not new, but as students begin to understand the whole concept of subscribing to feeds this mode of delivery will be great. I for one am excited to see how it is received. Good work-->
