"my entire financial life is now electronic" is a scary thought! Phil, you really need to read some of the "survivalist" literature - and think more about worst case situations. Your emergency stash needs to have some physical cash "just in case" (a true survivalist would insist on gold or silver coins - but even ordinary folding money can help in a true emergency.) Electronic digital finances are fine when everything is working.
Still, thanks for a thoughtful overview of how we are going digital.
