Triple A Lecturing Learning Object â€“ Phase 1 Complete

We have finally completed phase 1 of our CLOE/Inukshuk learning object – the “Triple A Approach to Lecture Intervention”.

Please help us to review it here: http://www.newmediaworkshops.com/tripleA/index.htm . We would appreciate any feedback about our project – you can supply your thoughts it as a comment to this posting.

If you review the entire project plan here, in our wiki, http://triplealecture.pbwiki.com/ProjectFlowchart and then check out the phase 1 learning object…SHEESH!! You’ll see we have a long way to go!

Unfortunately, there are no plans in place to follow up on this project and see Phase 2 and 3 come into fruition, (except perhaps as my own PhD Thesis project) so if you’d like to partner up and keep the ball rolling… send an email my way (susanDOTlisterATnewmediaworkshopsDOTcom) or post a comment to this blog posting.

Just a note for those who would like to help us test things....We have been experiencing some anomalies on Quiz 1 & 2 using different computers and browsers but all from one institute. We would appreciate if you do decide to visit the learning object and things don’t work properly, that you report your operating system and browser info. as a comment posting to this message.

Lastly, in way of things that I think should be changed, ALREADY!!! - I'd like to see a front page to the Quiz section explaining that we are not collecting any data and that the quizzes are being used as a 'fun' way to review and/or introduce information. If we have other problems with the quizzes from more than one institute, I will probably change the first two quizzes to a flash environment. I’m also thinking that we should add a section to the final “Action” self-appraisal tool that both identifies from which domain each question falls under and explains the scoring.

Well, what do you think? - can you see lecturers using our learning object to reflect on and then assess their lecturing? What would you change on the Triple A learning object.
