2009 Computer Security Awareness Poster & Video Contest Winners AnnouncedCreated by Valerie M. Vogel (EDUCAUSE) on August 14, 2009
The EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Higher Education Information Security Council (formerly the Security Task Force), the National Cyber Security Alliance, CyberWATCH, and ResearchChannel are pleased to announce the availability of new security awareness posters and videos. The posters and videos are the winning entries in the 2009 Computer Security Awareness Poster and Video Contest, which was conducted to raise awareness of and increase computer security at colleges and universities. The contest sought posters and videos that explain computer security problems and specific actions that college and university students can take to safeguard their computers or personal information. The posters and videos can be incorporated into campus orientation efforts for new and returning students this summer and fall, as well as campus security awareness campaigns such as National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October. There were 87 submissions from 31 colleges and universities. The winning posters and videos are available on the ResearchChannel's website: http://www.researchchannel.org/securityvideo2009/.
