The Manager of Anderson Computing Complex is responsible for the management and oversight of the Anderson Academic Computing Complex (ACC). This includes supervision of one full time professional staff and approximately 13 Student Technology Consultants (STCs) (6 FTEs), one-hundred and sixty Windows XP/Mac computers and a room scheduling system. ACC has five e-classrooms available by reservation to all academic departments. Hours of operation for the fall and spring semesters are 8:00am-midnight, seven days a week. This position oversees the Eaglebucks printing program for the university in Anderson Computing Complex and remote locations: Social Services Research Lab (SSRL), New Media Center, (NMC), Kogod School of Business (KSB), McDowell, Hughes, and Leonard Residence Halls, Washington Semester Tenley Computer Lab in Federal Hall. This individual works closely with AU faculty in satisfying their computer hardware and software needs. This position also coordinates a joint Office of Information Technology and Anderson Computing Complex (OIT-ACC) walk-in helpdesk operation. The ability to communicate and collaborate with customers is essential. This position has minimal supervision and works in a team environment. Well developed customer service focus. Three to five years of solid managerial / supervisory experience with responsibility for at least 2-3 FTEs staff. Three to five years experience with computer technology. Proficient knowledge of both Microsoft and Macintosh operating systems. Expert knowledge of at least 1 word processing and spreadsheet package. Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software problems. Knowledge of Windows, Netware and software applications, Windows XP and Web applications. Demonstrated knowledge of computers, networks, web applications and emerging technologies. Must be able to convey knowledge of computer systems to users and staff. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills essential. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with customers. A Bachelors degree in related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Other skills and Abilities Preferred: Previous employment in a computer lab or help desk setting. Familiarity with Pharos Uniprint. This position requires the successful completion of a background check. The salary range of position is $46,592-$68,889.
