2012 Frye Leadership Institute Accepting Applications
The Frye Leadership Institute is now accepting applications for its 2012 session, to be held June 3–8 in Washington, D.C. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, December 16, 2011.
Established in 2000, the Frye Leadership Institute is the premier senior leadership development experience for CIOs, librarians, information technology professionals, and administrators in higher education.

Coproduced by 19 higher education associations, the Women's Leadership Institute is the premier program for women who aspire to senior leadership roles in higher education.
If you attend, you'll have the opportunity to meet women from a wide array colleges and universities who share your goals and aspirations. Participate in this year's program to:
- Hone your leadership skills for working in a rapidly changing environment
- Share experiences with others about how campuses are adapting and adjusting to new realities

EDUCAUSE Announces New Initiative to Advance Analytics at U.S. Colleges and Universities
EDUCAUSE announced today a new initiative to advance analytics at U.S. colleges and universities. EDUCAUSE will work with the higher education community to provide thought leadership and education to develop institutional capability for analytics.
"Sophisticated uses of data and benchmarking have revolutionized business and industry,” said Diana Oblinger, President and CEO of EDUCAUSE. “These same techniques can deepen our understanding of learner success, improve our ability to track progress, and help us make the best decisions about campus resources."
The initiative has three primary objectives:

The new Core Data Service (CDS) data almanacs are now available. Listed below, you'll find six two-page, easy-to-scan summaries that distill CDS data by topic and Carnegie 2000 classification. Visit the Research and Analyses hub to view all CDS resources.

ECAR Releases National Study of Students and IT
ECAR has just released The National Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology, 2011. The report sheds light on how information technology affects the college experience. Because of the widespread interest in and importance of this topic, ECAR has made this report publicly accessible upon release.
The 2011 study differs from past studies in that the questionnaire was reengineered and responses were gathered from a nationally representative sample of 3,000 students in 1,179 colleges and universities.
