Overview
Your institution already may have entered the cloud—by using one or more technology assets (hardware, software, or networking capability) remotely, via the Internet, instead of installing them on campus. Although moving limited operations to the cloud may have created little risk, the types of cloud offerings now have multiplied, and so have the risks.
ACTI 2011 Member Meeting Summary -- Today's Core Technology Development and Implementation
The summary report of the ACTI 2011 Member Meeting, held July 7–8, 2011 in Boston, is now available.

EDUCAUSE Simplifies Core Data Service Requirements, Extends Survey Deadline to August 1
In April, EDUCAUSE introduced the redesigned Core Data Service. Initial member reaction to the redesign was positive and enthusiastic. However, as the survey deadline approached and institutions hastened to meet the deadline, members expressed concerns about the increased length, navigation, complicated questions, and lack of clarity about whether questions are required or not.
We are making short-term changes to make it easier to complete the survey:
