Responses: Prioritize, Prioritize, Prioritize! Moodle OPENID CMS=LMS=CLE (C from CMS = Course, L from LMS = Learning, CLE = Collaborative Learning Environment) MySource Matrix Supported Open Source CMS www.matrix.squiz.net (comment on above- Is there something similar for LMS systems?) Enjoy the increased time you have to get people ready for that change now has a slower implementation schedule (comment Map IT) Where have all the skilled IT Staff gone? How will we competitively pay? (They’ve all just been laid-off by Motorola, Bank of America, and AIG to name a few.) Make sure to tie our budgets to gaining efficiency or automating Leverage IT as a gain in productivity not a bottomless cost center. Create ROI which is useful. Real problems need real $$ Utilize existing tech for future projects. e.g. LMS systems for online staff training Leverage core & edge IT appropriately Progressively document. Don’t make someone reverse engineer your work when you leave/move. Embrace “The Cloud” Assessment track; it's not a fad Student & STFFunding - support to finish campus wireless “Poster sessions” should be “postre sessions”
