.com and .net Now Support DNSSEC

VeriSign recently announced that .com—the Internet's largest domain with more than 90 million domain name registrations worldwide—now supports DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC). Many .com and .net ISPs are now offering DNSSEC signing services, so if you host your DNS with a .com or .net ISP, contact your ISP to see what options are available for DNSSEC signing or for additional information.

If your ISP does not yet support DNSSEC, you can encourage them to adopt DNSSEC to increase internet security.

Visit the EDUCAUSE DNSSEC resource page for more information on DNSSEC and how to implement it at your institution.
