New FTC Resource: Fighting Fraud with the Red Flags Rule

The Federal Trade Commission has published a new resource called "Fighting Fraud with the Red Flags Rule". Although subtitled as a "A How-To Guide for Business", it addresses many of the fundamental issues for organizations, including colleges and universities, that are required by Federal law and regulation to implement a written Identity Theft Prevention Program designed to detect the warning signs – or "red flags" – of identity theft in their day-to-day operations.

You can download the Guide for free or once printed copies are available you can order them from FTC.gov/bulkorder
