Mobile Learning as an Evolving Technology, Surprise Surprise

Based on all the hub-bub around Mobile Learning, no one should be especially surprised that it is one of the foci of the Evolving Technologies committee; however, we do not profess to be experts (although some of the group may be close). Anyhow…we’d love to kick up some discussion about Mobile Learning. Specifically, we’d love for people to

1. What do you consider a "mobile technology"? Toss out both definitions of “mobility” as well as specific examples of mobile technologies (smart phones, smart pens, netbooks, etc.).

2. What do mobile technologies enable in Higher Education? How do mobile technologies improve our core mission?
