Are You Ready? National Cyber Security Awareness Month: October 2013
Are You Ready? National Cyber Security Awareness Month: October 2013
Summer is the perfect time to start planning for National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). We invite every institution to help EDUCAUSE and NCSA make this October the most successful NCSAM celebration since the campaign started 10 years ago.
But wait! Don't start from scratch. We've gathered resources that can be adapted by your campus.
- Resource Kit for National Cyber Security Awareness Month: Includes a planning worksheet and sample creative materials, as well as links to over 120 campus events and activities held in 2012.
- Cybersecurity Awareness Resource Library: Includes tip sheets, posters, games, quizzes, flyers, cartoons, bookmarks, videos, podcasts, and more.
- Speakers Bureau: Invite an information security expert from the higher education community to provide a brief presentation. Or invite several colleagues and host a half-day or full-day campus event.
- 2013 Information Security Awareness Video & Poster Contest Winners: Created by college students for college students; previous winning videos and posters are also available.
- StaySafeOnline.org: Provides free web banners, posters, social media icons, and templates.
- Stop.Think.Connect: Offers downloadable tip sheets, videos, blogs, and current campaigns.
Let us know how you plan to participate or contact us if you need assistance (security-council@educause.edu).
Stay tuned! We'll have more information soon about becoming a NCSAM Champion.
