Next Steps

Your professional development experience does not end when you step up to the podium to present at a conference. You have spent a great deal of time creating this presentation so it is worthwhile to explore ways you can reuse what you have developed.

Promote Your Work

Notify friends and colleagues about your upcoming presentation and invite them to take part.

Extend the impact of your presentation by uploading your presentation slides and handouts. After the event, attendees are e-mailed to download and review all session resources as part of the EDUCAUSE event proceedings.

In addition, community presentations like this are excellent experiences to note on your resume or curriculum vitae.

Reuse Your Content

Consider using excerpts from your presentation to write articles for institutional publications or to support blog posts—EDUCAUSE is a great site for this! Or adapt the presentation to use for other conferences. If your presentation was recorded, share the url across your institional network (supervisors and peers) or in other professional networks.
