Adobe Connect Technical Requirements

To participate you will need:

  • A high speed wired internet connection (wireless and/or dial-up may cause poor performance).
  • A reliable telephone line (preferably landline), or a conference phone if you are participating as a team, as an audio alternative or backup.
  • Cookies enabled in your web browser.
  • Run the Adobe Connect Connection Test to verify that your computer meets hardware and software requirements to use Adobe Connect. If you have problems completing the test or installing required software, visit the Adobe Support website or call Adobe Technical Support at 800-945-9120.
  • Operating system, browser, and software requirements (below).

Windows

  • Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8
    • Internet Explorer 7 or later; Mozilla Firefox; Google Chrome
    • Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or later

 

Macintosh

  • Mac OS X v10.5, 10.6, or 10.7.4, 10.8
    • Safari; Mozilla Firefox; Google Chrome
    • Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or later
  • Users on Leopard can attend meetings in the browser (no add-in support). Details.

Linux

  • Ubuntu 10.04, 11.04; Red Hat Linux 6;  OpenSuSE 11.3
    • Mozilla Firefox
    • Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or later

Mobile Devices

Apple Devices

  • iOS 5.x or higher recommended
  • Supported devices: iPad, iPad2, iPad3; iPhone 4 and 4 S; iPod touch (3rd generation minimum recommended)

Android Devices

  • OS 2.2 or later
  • Android AIR Runtime required: 3.2 or higher
  • Supported devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1); Samsung Galaxy Tab (10.1); ASUS Transformer; Samsung Galaxy Tab (7”); Motorola Xoom; Motorola Xoom 2; Nexus 7

 

Blackberry Devices

  • BlackBerry® Tablet OS (QNX) 1.0.6 or later with AIR 2.7 or later for BlackBerry; compatible with BlackBerry PlayBook

NOTE: Simultaneous teleconference activity is restricted when using a carrier that does not support simultaneous data and voice. For devices that do not meet these requirements, meetings can be attended in the browser if the device meets the following requirements: Mobile operating system with Flash Player and AIR support (Flash Player 10.1). Attending via the Adobe Connect™ Mobile app is recommended.
