I would be interested in a conversation about what architecture reviews mean to different people. Here are some starting points for discussion:

1. Do you do architecture reviews?
2. Who performs the reviews and who represents the design?
3. Do you have a standard list of things you review?
4. Do you have a way of identifying the need for a formal review for a given solution?

For a little background from my perspective, we have a group that performs architecture reviews within our enterprise application development organization, but they are very informal with regard to the last three questions above. I'm trying to create some more formal guidelines and I'm happy to share my thoughts, but I would also love to hear from others that actually have something in place and what works well and what doesn't.
