If you said 'yes', please reply.  I'm looking for a person or two to describe the technology approach they've taken to integrate the hospital into the rest of their systems.

Chris,

UChicago owns a hospital system and has various agreements with others. Your question is multi-faceted. How do you want to approach it?

Hey Tom,

Thanks so much for the response.

We're trying to figure out a long-term strategy for how to handle the technology university-wide here. We've been kind of built-up "opportunistically" over the years, so the Health System and Academic Campus have their own networks, their own data centers, etc.  They share some things like our ERP (PeopleSoft) and LMS (Sakai/Ctools) and they pick and choose on others (for instance, some HS users are on the campus email system while others use a HS-only system.

I would love to talk to someone who can explain how UChicago is set up, the logic for being setup that way, and the benefits (and disadvantages) you're seeing because of it.  If you're the right guy, maybe we can have a 30 minute phone call to discuss these things.

NB: Chris & I will schedule a 1-1 call to discuss this. We'll update the list afterwards. -Tom
