At Central New Mexico Community College – we’re using Onbase by Hyland Software.  It’s probably a bit too much for what we use it for, but – that was the direction that was set ~3-4 years ago, and we integrate it with Banner.  We *want* to start using the Outlook client integration for archiving documents and e-mail messages, but we had some issues waiting for Onbase to develop a useable 64-bit client integration/plug-in…..which is done now, but we still don’t adequate policy, process or procedures down enough to start moving that initiative forward…..

At Notre Dame we are also using Onbase by Hyland.  Started out in Undergrad Admissions, has now been implemented in Grad School, Financial Aid and currently planned for Registrar.

We also use Ellucian’s BDMS (Xtender Solutions from EMC) but mainly because that was the only document mgt. solution Ellucian (at the time SunGardHE) Banner was integrated with.  Our HR, Finance and Development offices use BDMS fairly extensively but our plans are to go with Onbase for future Doc. Mgt. work.

Hi Dan,

At VCU, we have used ImageNow since 2001 and have 75 departments onboard (48 imaging; 27 view only).  We integrate with our ERP (Banner) and several other applications.

I would be happy to speak with you and your team regarding our implementations, project/business model and experiences.

We at the University of Miami are installing an enterprise wide OnBase Solution. We are starting in two areas Admissions and Patient records. We expect to completely replace our current Document Management System over the next twenty four months. We have over 90 departments to migrate throughout the organization and a waiting list of new users.
