Hi all, Just thought I'd report out on the results of my informal survey regarding future meetings of the IT Accessibility Constituent Group. I only received five responses, so that might not be a representative sample, but here's a summary of those responses: 1. If we held monthly teleconferences just to talk informally about accessibility issues, would you attend? Yes - all agreed they would attend. Two qualified that with "if/when available" 2. Are there other functions that could be served via these meetings? Responses to this question generally focused on sharing ideas, best practices, and current activities of other relevant groups (e.g., product evaluations, vendor collaborations, Advisory Commission on Accessible Instructional Materials, 508 Refresh, etc.) 3. Does the current Wednesday time slot work for you? All but one of the five survey participants said Yes. 4. If not, what are some alternative time slots that work better for you? See #3. * Conclusion: Given these responses, I'm inclined to continue meeting at the usual time (first Wednesday of each month at 1pm Eastern, Noon Central, 11am Mountain, 10am Pacific) as long as we have something to discuss. I'll send out a call for agenda items the week prior to each meeting. For those of you have conflicts at the scheduled meeting times, I apologize. Please feel free to use the ITACCESS list to ask questions and share information asynchronously.
