>Hi all, Does anyone have experience / further info on the electronic textbook pilot project run by Internet2 & Courseload, & apparently sponsored by Educause? The Courseload interface was the subject of a warning letter by the NFB to I2/Courseload. (I haven't used it, but apparently the interface is very navigable ... except that individual pages of the etext books are displayed as images...) NFB requested a response by Sept 25 . Does anyone know if that response happened? Also, our campus has been invited to join the continuing pilot for Spring 2013, with the deadline to say yea or nay of Oct 19. I'm copying that message below. It's not clear to me what Educause's role is. Perhaps the CG could reach out to the relevant people, & find out what's going on. I hope Educause would add its voice to the calls to make such a textbook system acccessible. Thanks for any leads..., Patrick ----- >From: Greg Jackson [] >Sent: Monday, October 01, 2012 3:27 PM >Subject: EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Spring 2013 eContent >Pilot: Prospectus and Application > > >Dear [...] > >Internet2 >and >EDUCAUSE >invite your institution to participate in a >Spring 2013 pilot involving electronic textbooks >and other materials (etexts and econtent).
