I took a quick look at this and it does not seem to be a tagged accessible PDF form. I could read the questions but I was not able to fill them out -----Original Message----- From: The EDUCAUSE IT Accessibility Constituent Group Listserv [mailto:ITACCESS@LISTSERV.EDUCAUSE.EDU] On Behalf Of Bill Grubaugh Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2012 1:21 PM To: ITACCESS@LISTSERV.EDUCAUSE.EDU Subject: Re: [ITACCESS] CORE Data Survey Accessibility Questions and DOJ Section 508 Report 117 Pages - Yea man, -that's Comprehensive! When considering what questions to ask in the EDUCAUSE CDS, it might also be helpful to consult the 2008 ATHEN Survey. That was a survey that was organized into six sections: Assistive Technology Products Information Technology Accessibility Web Accessibility Multimedia Accessibility Alternative Format Production Staffing and Salaries The survey results are reported in several articles in ATHEN E-Journal #4: http://athenpro.org/node/117 Terrill -- Terrill Thompson Technology Accessibility Specialist DO-IT, Accessible Technology UW Information Technology University of Washington tft@uw.edu 206-221-4168
Regarding the 2008 ATHEN survey, Judy you asked whether the questions were available. They are in fact - the complete set of questions is here: http://staff.washington.edu/tft/athen/survey2008/questions.php The survey was actually administered differently than what you see here. Questions were organized into six distinct sections, and institutions were provided details about each section in order to help them identify the best person to complete that section on their institution's behalf. Each section was completed as a separate survey, and individuals identified their institutional affiliation when completing the survey. Many questions were asked conditionally, based upon responses to previous questions, so within a given section participants might not have answered all questions. At any rate, all questions are here for consideration while contemplating the best questions to ask in the Core Data Survey. I will look at this this afternoon and make a recommendation. Hi All- I looked at ATHEN questions and questions from a Dept of Justice Section 508 compliance survey. I have drafted a set of potential questions for the EDUCAUSE core data. I recognize this is too long and too detailed, probably, for Core Data and that it will need significant edits. Please let me know what you think and then we can start the conversation with the EDUCAUSE Core Data folks. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
