Hi All, This is a reminder of the IT Accessibility Constituent Group Annual Meeting at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference. We will be meeting on Friday, October 18, from 9:10AM - 10:00AM in Room 207B. We will be discussing three things. 1. Planning for what types of activities we would like to pursue for this next year 2. Open forum for general accessibility questions and concerns 3. A "show-and-tell" where we can share any interesting or creative accessibility projects we are involved with that we would like to share with others As a recap of some of what we've done this past year, we have * Provided an accessibility training session for the Blended and Online Learning Constituent Group. * Submitted potential questions for the EDUCAUSE Core Data survey and had one of those questions accepted. The question that was accepted asked if institutions had an IT Accessibility policy and what standard it was based on. The results of it will be officially released later this year. * Had lengthy discussions on IT Accessibility and project management. * Will be leading a webinar on IT Accessibility for Campus Leaders in November. For the "show-and-tell" part, if you have any interesting or creative accessibility projects you are involved with that you would like to share with others, please let me know. Plan on speaking for no more than 5 minutes. Thanks. In my last year as co-director of the Hawkins Leadership Roundtable, I will not be able to attend this Constituent Group meeting due that conflict. Shannon and I at Cornell are all the more excited to be able to contribute and support this group, however, with our work at CU unfolding. So please take some notes and let us know how it goes and what we can do going forward? With you in spirit on this and every other day :-) Tracy
