Hi All, This is a friendly reminder that the deadline for proposals for the EDUCAUSE West/SouthWest Regional Conference is rapidly approaching: It's August 28. The conference is in Austin, Texas, February 12-14, 2013, and accessibility/universal design is a featured sub-topic under each of the four broad topics: Enterprise and Infrastructure Experience IT Leadership: Resource and Data Management Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship This will be a great opportunity to get the accessibility message out there into the trenches. Also, we're considering other ways of integrating accessibility into the program. Ideas that have been discussed include a web accessibility competition and ongoing "10-minute tuneups" focusing on accessibility and usability. If anyone is interested in helping out with these activities (or if you have other ideas) please let me know. Thanks, -- Terrill Thompson Technology Accessibility Specialist DO-IT, Accessible Technology UW Information Technology University of Washington 206-221-4168 ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at
