Our business continuity workgroup asked if there is a web application for employees to check-in to let their employer know they are OK and ready to report to work after a disaster takes place.  Does such an application exist?  If not, what process do you have in place to record your employee's ability to return to work?

Comments

I'm familiar with Veoci (http://www.veoci.com) as cloud-based BC/DR checklist/operations center and they might be able to perform this function, but no personal familiarity with the tool or how good it is, etc.

Scott,

Most alert systems like Blackboard Connect and Everbridge have the capability of two way messages so you can send out a message to all employees and ask for a simple response. Most cover e-mail, text messaging and phone options.

It is not web based but can collect the information.

Hi Folks,
Both Goggle and Red Cross have People finder/registry sites.

Hi Scott,

Your license of e2Campus includes message reply functionality across SMS, email and voice.  It is a relatively new feature, so you may not have seen it when you first toured e2Campus a few years ago.  It web-based, mobile and included free with your service.  Your Account Manager, Becky Macauley Goudy, will be contacting shortly to show you how easy it is to use.

Cheers,
Bryan
