Hello, colleagues: Though AAEEBL's Southeast Regional Conference is in November, the deadline for the Call for Proposals is quickly approaching -- just 10 days away. To submit a proposal, go this URL: http://aaeebl.org/aaeebl-southeast2012 At that site, you can also register for the day-and-a-half conference and book lodgings on the Clemson campus. This conference is limited to 100 participants, including a number of undergraduate and graduate students who will show their own work with eportfolios. AAEEBL is the professional association for the world's eportfolio field. Our 5 conferences in the U. S. each year bring together leaders in the field in research and in practice. ePortfolios continue to spread and advance in use in education as one of the most disruptive technologies; see: http://campustechnology.com/articles/2012/09/19/12-important-trends-in-t... Our Keynote speaker is Peter Doolittle of Virginia Tech, who many of you know. Here is his brief bio: Peter E. Doolittle is Director of the Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research (CIDER), professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Learning Sciences, and the Director of the Educational Psychology Research Program (EPRP) at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. He is also the Executive Editor of the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (IJTLHE), and the Co-Executive Editor of the International Journal of ePortfolio (IJep). His academic background includes 25 years teaching K-12, undergraduate, and graduate students, in public and private schools, using traditional and online formats, across several subject areas including mathematics, computer science, statistics, and educational psychology. His current research focus includes the investigation of working memory capacity and learning efficacy in multimedia learning environments. I hope you will be able to join us; and I also hope that some of you will submit a proposal to present at this interactive conference at Clemson.
