Hi Everyone,

Long Beach City College has started the search for my replacement as Associate Vice President/CIO.  (I have accepted a position as CTO at City College San Francisco.) The job announcement can be viewed at

I can’t say enough good things about LBCC.  As the position title indicates, the department includes both instructional and information technology including Academic Computing & Multimedia Services, Instructional Technology & Distance Learning, Network Services, User Support & Web Development, Application Development Services, and Instructional Media Production Services.  The management team in the department is outstanding as are the staff.   This position is part of the District’s senior management team.  LBCC is an exceptional public 2-year community college in southern California with a strong focus on student success.   (I am leaving to return to my home in northern California.)

If you know of anyone who might be interested, please pass this along.  If you are interested and would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  My last day is Thursday, February 27 and I can be reached at after that.
