I am looking for anyone who might be able to provide some feedback on the Cisco TrustSec product. We are looking into NAC and this is one of the vendors we are looking at.

Mike,

Have you looked at Impulse Point? If you have questions about their product we will be happy to provide that information for you.

Mike,

At Knox, we bought into NAC about five years ago.  At that time Cisco had just acquired Perfigo and were in the process of rebranding and “Cisco’izing” it.  We’re mostly a Cisco shop, so I looked this over thoroughly.  I’m sure it has changed, perhaps substantially, by now.  Ultimately, we selected another product from Bradford Networks.  It has served us well and we are planning on keeping it for at least another five years.

There were a few differentiating factors as I recall… such as Bradford having real multi-vendor support.  It works work with switching gear from many different vendors using SNMP and supported several different standards based authentication methods.  Bradford is an out of  band solution.  At the time Cisco’s solution was in band only.  If you’d like contact or other information about Bradford Networks let me know.

Best,

Steve
