We are looking to replace our out of date phone system.  I was wondering if any schools have had good experience with any Cloud based phone services?

We are still using Avaya CM4. But. I have given a serious look at  Shortel sky and the pricing is aggressive.  We are looking at Lync as well for possible emergency redundancy.

UMBC is an early implementation for the new Internet2 SIP cloud service with AASTRA and Level3. We believe this is going to be a good solution for us and make a big difference in costs.

We are in the early stages of deployment, Iowa state did a much large deployment.

We have installed around 1,000 phones with another 3,000 scheduled during the spring semester.  Like Jack, we are using the Internet 2 SIP cloud and are very happy.
