Welcome to Philadelphia... The Mobile & Handheld Computing Constituent Group is scheduled to meet Thursday, 2:30-3:20PM in room 115A. This will be an opportunity to re-visit the intent of this group, identify topics of common interest for all and establish collaborative efforts around this diverse and driving technology. Educause provided an excellent platform addressing mobile computing during the 5-Day Sprint this past spring. ELI has established an excellent resource focused on M-Learning and Mobility. The most recent Gartner Hype Cycle for Education - 2011 is peppered with the term ‘mobile’ while there are two specific entries along the cycle for “mobile learning/low-range” and “mobile-learning smartphone”. What aspect of mobile interests you or has become a driving issue for your campus? If you are active using social media use the hashtag #EDU11 for all things Educause 2011 and #Mobiledu to reference tweets and posts specific to mobile topics.
