Colleagues,
I'd like to point out this report.  This is representative of the work of ACTI, a newer group in Educause providing valuable technical leadership.

To: ACTI-COMMUNITY@listserv.educause.edu

I am proud to announce the publication of a new ACTI briefing note on Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). This paper by ACTI Communication, Collaboration, and Mobility Working Group co-chair Jim Jokl (University of Virginia) with contributions from the ACTI-CCM working group gives the basics of what you need to know about DAS systems to support in-building cellular coverage on higher education campuses. It describes what DAS is, highlights non-DAS alternatives, and provides useful advice to campuses looking to buy and fund a DAS solution.

If you’re looking for information on how to improve in-building cellular voice services on your campus, this paper is where to start. It is available now at: http://www.educause.edu/library/resources/distributed-antenna-systems-acti-briefing-note
