Just a reminder about the upcoming GIS & Spatial Thinking conference at Bucknell - early bird registration ends on August 31st. Details below. 


You are invited to participate in the GIS & Spatial Thinking in the Undergraduate Curriculum  conference that will be held Nov. 16-18, 2012 at Bucknell University.  Please visit the conference website for details on registrationschedule of events, and submitting presentations and maps. The conference is intended for faculty and GIS/IT staff with an interest in using GIS for teaching and/or research in higher education and will feature keynote presentations by Anne Kelly Knowles, Middlebury College; Diana Stuart Sinton, University of Redlands; and Jeremy Crampton, University of Kentucky.  


We are seeking presenters for each of the following sessions:  

  • Mapping Human Activity - Qualitative Analysis GIS
  • Quantitative Analysis & Technical Applications of GIS  
  • GIS in Pedagogy
  • GIS in Community Outreach & Service Learning
  • Software & Data Issues in GIS Instruction
