*** Survey Deadline Extended to Wednesday, October 12 ***

Dear Colleagues:

I need your help.  In past years some 550 two- and four-year colleges and universities across the United States regularly participated in the annual Campus Computing Survey.  As of today (Sunday afternoon , Oct 9), only 271 campuses have completed the 2011 Campus Computing questionnaire.

I hope you value the data, information, and insight on IT planning and policy issues that Campus Computing has provided for the past two decades.

Please complete the 2011 survey in the next few days.  The new survey deadline is Wednesday evening, October 12th.

We continue to send email reminders about the survey.  The email includes a hotlink to the questionnaire for your campus.  Please contact me if you need access to the hotlink for your institution.
The validity and value of this project really depend on senior campus IT officers to provide data about information technology issues and policies at their institutions.
The results of the 2011 survey will be presented at the EDUCAUSE Conference in Philadelphia on Thursday, October 20th.
My thanks for your assistance and for your support for work of The Campus Computing Project.

You may have noticed that several times over the past year, Casey Green shared data about how we handle or deal with specific technical issues and implementations on our campuses.  Those results come from the Campus Computing Survey.  The results of the 2012 survey will be presented at the EDUCAUSE Conference in Denver on Wednesday, November 7th.

You may have received an email invitation to participate in the 2012 Campus Computing Survey. Begun in 1990, The Campus Computing Project is the largest continuing study of role of eLearning and information technology in American higher education.

The 2012 survey is accessible online.  If your campus participated in the 2011 survey, much of this year's questionnaire has been pre-populated with the data from last year's survey.

We very much need your participation; our community depends on data to inform our decisions.

The deadline date for the 2012 Campus Computing Survey is Wednesday, October 24th.    Information is on their web site:

I'd like to encourage you to participate in the survey.  If you have any questions, contact information follows:
