Good afternoon,

We are Banner shop and in the early stages of looking at CRM packages.

It would fantastic if we can get a peek at any recent RFI document for CRM implementation that any of you may be willing to share.   I would also be interested in hearing about your implementation experience if you have gone through that already.

Many thanks and have a great weekend.

All One of our current projects is implementing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology to support a campus initiative to increase enrollment and retention. We are interested in connecting with other universities that have implemented CRM. We track information such as this in our Education Institution Technology Profile Database. If members of the Listserv will copy me, we will update our database. Also, James, our database information is free for institutions. If you would like a report on a particular vendor, or peer group, let me know and we will get it to you. The range of options includes quite a few vendor solutions. Vicki
We are looking at buying rather than building, and we are likely to pick one of the Force.com based solutions, TargetX (co-branded by our ERP vendor Jenzabar as JRM under an agreement between them) or EnrollmentRX. Part of the reason we are aiming so high is that we are seeing this as the narrow end of the wedge, in which CRM would eventually roll out to far more offices and services: retention, alumni relations, development, maybe more. We'd be spending a lot more (10's of thousands per year) but it would come with the full power of the Salesforce ecosystem of apps and be on their development trajectory.

Has anyone looked at building their own on Force, as opposed to Sugar or other platforms?

We are floating a final RFP in the next few days and expect to make a decision very early in the new year.

Vicki-

I, for one, didn't know that you had such info to share. If you want to outline for the list what you have to offer, that would be most welcome!

Thanks,

Ethan - I hadn't heard of the collaboration between Jenzabar and the Force products.  I will look into this more as I would also prefer that to going on our own with Sugar.  So we are definitely going to be looking into it.  Please let me know how your effort goes.
thanks

Allan-

Glad to be of use.  To the best of my knowledge the Jenzabar arrangement is not with Force in general, just with TargetX for Admissions. Let's stay in touch--I'll try to remember to post something here as we move forward!

Great.  So the TargetX and EnrollmentX would cover all of those topics you indicated?  From retention to development?  Is there a higher ed market division with the Force products (sorry to ask you to help with my legwork :-)

Message from jeff.edwards@arbor.edu

Spring Arbor University is in the process of completing a force.com implementation for enrollment. Wayne State University completed it a few months ago. I have contacts at Jenzabar if you would like to know more about JRM. We also have an independent consultant with Salesforce that was great (David Inniss). He helped us design and build the Enrollment solution. I believe he could help with any other phase such as retention to development. I attended the dreamforce conference last September and made contacts with the Director of the non-profit arm of Salesforce who works with higher ed. Her name is Suzanne DiBianca. Our Account Rep is Keith Bauer. He is great. See attached contacts.
