We are evaluating our current mobile app usage and trying to determine if we are on track and what new possibilities are out there that are in use in other University environments.  I have included a short survey and I will share the results as soon as we have enough data to be useful for everyone’s consumption.

Hi Chris - We might be able to help. We're currently working with over 600 schools on their mobile app solution.

We've developed the only mobile platform that integrates to multiple ERP/SIS, LMS and other backend systems for Admissions, payments, Career Center, Alumni and more. These integrations seem to be the direction most schools are going

I'm happy to discuss with you the work we're doing with some of our clients.

Thanks.

Hello Chris,

Let me quickly correct Tim Egan in that DUBLabs is not the only Mobile platform that integrates with multiple SIS, LMS etc, checkout www.campusM.com.

Also, Professor  Mark Stubbs of Manchester Metropolitan, the UK’s third largest University, is two years into a comprehensive study of mobile app usage across multiple universities. He posted a webinar on YouTube some 6 months ago showing his findings to date – you may care to contact him for an update on his study at m.stubbs@mmu.ac.uk. During the next 12 months the study will have access to Mobile analytics data from the platform to correlate with the qualitative data from surveys, interviews and focus groups.

Hope this helps,

Richard Horton

Dear Chris, I will happily contribute to your survey, and am interested to see the results. In addition, I wanted to mention the Educause ACTI workgroup on Mobile Web Frameworks called ACTI-MWF (see http://www.educause.edu/acti/working-groups/mobile-web-frameworks-mwf). If you are an Educause ACTI member, then you are welcome to join the work group discussions, we meet by phone biweekly. We are working on a Mobile Strategic Guide, which we hope to publish in the fall. Additionally, we will be presenting our work at the Annual Conference on Wednesday at 11:40am. I would also like to share that the University of California (9/10 campuses), Texas A&M and UW are all collaborating on a new 'Responsive Design' version of the Mobile Web Framework (see http://mwf.ucla.edu). Which we plan to release under a BSD license this fall. If you are interested to learn more, we are hosting a conference at UCLA on Sept 5th - 7th at Http://mwf.ucla.edu/conference.
