Good Morning Colleagues,

I’ve recently entered the exciting world of higher education, after working 26+ years in healthcare.   I was even more excited to learn that there’s a true spirit of collaboration amongst those of us that try to do the best with what we have in I.T.

One of my first tasks, as you can imagine, is to draft our I.T. strategic plan.  I was wondering if any of you would be willing to share yours, just so I have a starting point and can learn from those that have walked before me.  One of you has already been so gracious, but my VP would like a sampling of 4-5 as a starting point.    My e-mail is below if you’re more comfortable sharing outside the forum.    Thanks everyone.

Kind Regards,

Jim

Hi, Colleen,
I reviewed quickly and the dates on these documents might be getting a little stale.  Given the new web site, might you be able to remind us how we can share strategic plans on the Educause web site?

I'd like to encourage CIOs to post current materials.

Thanks,
Theresa

HI Theresa, I would love to receive updated Strategic Plans for the library. Members can email their plans to me at ckeller@educause.edu or to LibraryRequests@educause.edu. Thank you! I'm in the midst of drafting a charter for a 2012-13 Task Force on Mobile computing that will include members from the faculty, library, ITS, business office (and perhaps others). I have attached it to this reply for anyone's re-use, modification... if it's at all helpful in formulating strategies at your institutions then all the better!!! Again, it's a draft so please keep that in mind. Sorry for any confusion my response may have caused (below). It was meant to be in response to an earlier request for information regarding development of a mobile strategy. Oops!
