Dear Colleagues, Pepperdine is contracted with CBORD for its one-card system, which includes housing, meal plans, and access control. We are evaluating our current arrangement and I am wondering which other vendor you might be using. Welcome your input and sharing of experience. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is using an aging and failing home grown solution. We are evaluating Blackboard Transact. Jeannie Sent from my iPad

We are CBORD for all the same except access control. We are using C-CURE and Simplex for that
We're using CCure for building access control and card generation coupled with Blackboard Transact for meals, vending and laundry. Regards, Manny ----------------------- Manuel (Manny) Amaral Associate Director, Information Technology Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering (781) 292-2433
Macalester also uses CBORD, for nearly everything except access control (we use WAPAC for this).

Cordially,
David

Santa Clara has used Blackboard since before it was Blackboard. IT doesn't manage the system, but I'd be happy to put you in touch with the people who do. Jonathan, MassArt, as a member of Colleges of the Fenway, has outsourced our one-card management to CardSmith, www.card-smith.com. I'd be happy to discuss our experience if you'd like; at least from my perspective, we're quite satisfied. Any request for it is a scam and should be ignored.
Hi, Bastyr University uses Heartland Campus Solutions for ID cards, access control (in housing and elsewhere) and debit-card purchases in our cafeteria, bookstore and student copy machines. Heartland has the ability to do meal plans, but we don't use meal plans. Jonathan, McDaniel College also outsourced its one-card system to CardSmith this last summer, and appreciate their very timely on-going support. They provide a very convenient hosting system. East Georgia State College selected Blackboard Transact two years ago as our campus one-card solution. We use the system for campus auxiliary services including food services / vending. The system services two campus locations. We also use the system in conjunction with our student housing door access control system. If you have any questions, please let me know. Jonathan, Montclair State University uses Blackboard Transact. We have had this solution since 2005. We do have several other legacy door access systems, however, several years ago Bb was selected as our standard for exterior door access control. We have been slowly migrating, as budget allows, older non Bb installations to this standard. We also have Persona w-fi as our interior door standard. Bb's product road map is to integrate the Persona application into their single data base solution at the end of this quarter. We are changing out our POS solution and implementing the Sequoia point of sale system for residential and retail dining. This is an integrated hardware and software transaction interface solution resold by Bb Transact. Our reason for this new project is to meet PCI compliance requirements in our expansion of accepting credit card in all dining venues. Curry College also uses CBORD, WAPAC for access control.  We use BadgeBuilder for the production of the ID cards, and we use an ISO standard 16 digit number on the cards similar to a debit/credit card.
