Could be an interesting issue especially since the company's "“plan is to license this portfolio to the fullest extent possible. That would include anyone who’s wireless networking.”

My quick thought is that the current patent system is broken, and no longer is acting for the public good. You can head over to the White House and sign a petition to direct the patent office to cease issuing software patents.  It is a small, probably symbolic act, but a start.
