Job Posting Summary:

The University of Alaska's Office of Information Technology (OIT) seeks a dynamic, outgoing, innovative, experienced and motivated leader for the position of OIT's Executive Director for User Services/CIO. The Executive Director for User Services reports to the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) of an integrated University of Alaska (UA) System/University of Alaska Fairbanks Information Technology organization. The Executive Director provides leadership and management for the University of Alaska Fairbanks academic technologies, support and programming services that serve students, faculty and staff. The successful candidate will provide hands on IT leadership and expertise for the campus and will provide leadership for the transformation and integration of IT services of the statewide system and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The successful applicant will implement an integrated vision to facilitate the teaching, research, and service missions for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He or she will implement a strategic vision for the User Services department and will guide the direction for student, faculty and administrative needs. The successful candidate should demonstrate vision, initiative, creativeness and determination, as well as exemplary management, planning, communication, and organizational skills.
