Colleagues,

I am in the process of developing a hardware and software refresh policy. It would be helpful to see what others are doing in this area so if you have one you can share please do.

If I missed a prior posting please point me in the right direction.

This is another policy we are lacking. We refresh every 2-4 years, but is it documented?

Below please find data from the 2011 Campus Computing Survey – announced at the EDUCAUSE Conference on Thursday – regarding replacement cycles by sector for students, faculty, and administrators. These data were collected from Sept 16-Oct 13.

The executive summary for the 2011 survey, plus my EDUCAUSE conference presentation, is now available on the Campus Computing Project web site (campuscomputing.net). My thanks to all who participated in the 2011 survey
