We are working on designing a security training curriculum for the faculty and staff on campus (using the SANS securing the human modules in combination with Identity Finder). Because of my education background, I am in particular interested in ways to support higher level learning outcomes (in context of Bloom's taxonomy). Minimally the necessary level of competency is application, but I’m curious what other schools are doing from a pedagogical / design standpoint to implement training that goes beyond. Id like to try and find ways to make the training engaging and interactive (the SANS modules are informative but rather flat in terms of engagement). I have thought about a blended course, but struggle with scaling the blended model to an entire campus (especially since we will need to continue to train new hires as well as rectify every so often). I am curious to hear what others are doing related to security training and how it has been working. Thanks very much! kk ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.

Staff / Faculty training (HR / OSHA / one-off, recurring, security, etc.) we utilize our Instructional Technology staff to build out an interactive class within our D2L instance. Allows for creative delivery, interactive, tracking, scoring, and can be designed to be self-guided (answer A go left, answer B go left). If any other information is needed about this let me know, I will you get you in contact with the person that builds these for us.
